If you own a current Medicare card your general eye exam will be bulk billed with nothing left for you to pay.
How long does a general eye exam take?
It usually takes 20-30 minutes. If further testing is required, it can take a little longer.
How often should I have my eyes tested?
For people with healthy eyes, we recommend testing every 2-3 years. For older adults, children or those with existing eye conditions, every 1-2 years.
I have healthy eyes and my vision is good. Why do I need regular eye tests?
There are some eye diseases and conditions that don’t show any symptoms in their early
stages. Having a professional eye examination with the latest diagnostic equipment can detect these conditions early before any irreversible damage is done.
Apart from a general eye examination, what other tests do you perform?
There are a number of other tests we can do, depending on your needs and the results of your general eye test. These include eye tests for driving,field vision test, eye pressure test and dilated pupiltest.
Can anyone use contact lenses instead of glasses?
Contact lenses are a great alternative to glasses for many people but they are not suitable for everyone. We can help you learn if they are right for you.
